Gallerie All Together is an experimental educational platform offering the whole community a chance to be curators! Come by our interactive opening and help build a group art show, live! Premade and found artworks will be available to hang with a unique magnetic system, allowing all ages to participate safely. Create your own wall text using magnet poetry and ensure that your creative vision is elucidated! Because the work of art is never done, this is an exhibition with no fixed form. Everyone who enters has the agency to curate, gatekeep, criticize, argue, collaborate or, just kinda move stuff around.

Gallerie All Together was originally created for Super Art Sunday, the family programs day at the RISD Museum. It floats around the middle of a Venn diagram connecting performance art, museum protest, and art education and, by offering children roles usually reserved for adults, playfully questions the assumed authority of museums and advanced degrees. It reminds grown ups that our understanding of, and expectations around curating (and art itself) benefit from an occasional shaking of the snow-globe.

Gallerie All Together is produced by Kara Stokowski, a teaching artist and DJ working with collage and sound. Her visual art is nostalgic and funny, and she creates live events that emphasize accessibility, shared experience, and community engagement. She is a Community Arts Liaison at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
