OPEN is partnering with Gallery Night Providence to bring a special edition of their beloved Walking Tours program to Valley. On the 3rd Thursday of each month, August through November 2026, friends new and old will meet up at 50 Sims, explore the building a bit, and see what’s on view at a few area spaces.

For our first round we’ll check out OPEN, The Gallery at Make Do Studios, and The Clubhouse. Rain or shine, we’ll cover a bit under a mile of terrain and have a blast. You can preview the route here and learn more about the history of Gallery Night Providence here.

    06:00 - Arrive, poke around 50 Sims a bit
    06:15 - OPEN at 50 Sims, first official stop
    06:35 - Walk to The Gallery at Make Do Studios
    06:45 - Arrive at Make Do Studios
    07:15 - Leave Make Do Studios
    07:25 - Arrive at The Clubhouse
    08:00 - Wrap at The Clubhouse
    08:00 - After party; keep hangin’ at Clubhouse (optional)


    Accesibility / Notes:

    • OPEN / 50 Sims and The Clubhouse are accessible; ground-floor.

    • Make Do Studios is only accesible by stairs; one flight

    • All stops have restrooms; OPEN / 50 Sims are ADA; status of other W/Cs is unknown

    • You can only register through Gallery Night. Don’t email OPEN to register!

As of 2026, the rules of spacetime still limit the number of unique places our walking tour can visit in two hours. That said, there is a LOT happening on Sims Ave and in Valley to explore in the future, with us or on your own.

  • Check out OPEN’s list of Sims Ave neighbors

  • Check out Open Valley, a neighborhood-wide open studios event that first took place this May. We’ll be back on November 7th!

  • Feel free to arrive a bit early, too. Hungry Ghost Press and White Buffalo are fun shops right inside 50 Sims. Pop into Buttonwoods Brewery x Screaming Unicorn for delicious snacks and brews, too!
