OPEN is a project space in Providence for people, places, and things, and a 2026 Best of Rhode Island Editors' Pick. We curate and produce exhibitions, special events, projects, and collections of objects and ephemera. We work with Gallery Night, the Providence Public Library, 50 Sims, and other great local organizations to bring unique works and experiences to all at low-to-no cost. Spaces like OPEN stay open because people show up for them. Every hour you give is an hour a neighbor can wander in and leave a little more curious. Or maybe they just want to use the bathroom. That’s fine, too.
