OPEN congratulates the 195 District Park Commission on their selection of The Providence Art & Design Center for development at Parcel 5. The mixed-use project includes housing, retail, and a plan for exhibitions / public programming. We congratulate Ionic Development and WADE / KEATING on their fantastic presentation; theirs was the only shortlisted proposal that includes an affordable housing component, as well as rental apartments and opportunities for ownership.

OPEN previously met with WADE / KEATING and has agreed, in principle, to help develop an exhibition space within the building—you’ll notice us mentioned in the presentation deck. Our thanks to the 195 District Park Commission for providing a space for the public to offer comments and opinions on this development.
