OPEN is Building Part 2

Walls are up. Track lighting is up. Power is working. Gate is installed. Couple more touches to go but, pretty close! For the summer we’ll be feeling the space out, literally, as we understand the variations in sound and temperature. Open to giving tours, having talks, and getting ideas pitched, so please reach out. Perhaps a pop-up event or show this summer but we’re already pretty slammed with the National Insulator Association in MA, and Dog Days 2025. Looking like more of a September 2025 actual-opening.

Above: This is what OPEN looks like as of 2:30pm, May 31, 2025. This is the view most people will encounter OPEN from after walking in the main doors of 50 Sims. It’s very cozy. Our door is a gate so, even when we are closed its still pretty open. The exterior walls are blue corrugated metal; the interior is walls are cellulose-based fiber boards, painted white. For some reason, there is an air conditioner located just below where you’d normally find a ceiling.
