My Dad Likes Irish Folk Music : Family, Music, and Being Queer
by Close Proximity

Five coming out stories may be a few too many for some but not this show. This show combines storytelling, Irish music, and history. Plus everyone's favorite: hand puppets! Here we ask the important questions. What is unconditional love? How do we respond to injustice? And can Spiderman come to the tea party? [Trigger warnings: Suicide, Sexual assault]

Kissy Face
by Dugway Theater

Women go forth! Their brains are washed, their femininity plastic. Will they stay desirable, will they disobey, or will they eat the whole thing?  Cycling through absurd and all too relatable personae, KISSY FACE is a freak show of the rituals, contortions, and animal work of making yourself up. A spectacle of fragments—play, movement, film—from playwrights Darcie Dennigan and Lily Mathews. Created with director Adam Kotin as a project of Dugway Theater, featuring the talents of Beth Alianiello and Niki Healy.

What You Will
by Half-Baked Theater Co.

What You Will takes Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night and cheekily breaks it to bits, utilizing dance, live music, and traditional clowning techniques to adapt the classic story of shipwrecks, gender, drunkenness, and deceit with Half-Baked’s signature kinetic, open style — all in 50 minutes! We take our Comedy seriously, and What You Will shall do it’s best to please by bringing out the subversive elements that made Viola, Olivia, Sir Toby and The Gang some of the most iconic characters in the English canon. Featuring a diverse cast of artists from across the country, this production’s stripped-back, earnest realization of the play’s core character, themes, and purpose will bring the humor and poignant romance of Shakespeare’s text to life. Join us for an evening of irreverent joy for everyone. Shout “HOB-NOB” and get ready to laugh your butt off at Half-Baked’s premiere of What You Will — we’re excited to see you there!
